There are many ministries that make up the life and works of Seaford Baptist Church (SBC).  Here are some of the ways you can get involved.  Where one of the headings is underlined that means that if you click on it, you will be taken to a separate page for further details of each activity.  

Care and discipleship 

Care groups carry on the work of encouragement within the fellowship, and whether it is in the area of Bible study, prayer, or just plain socialising over a good meal, their regular work develops the sort of trust that enables the church to grow.

Oasis Fellowship 

Around forty men and women meet on Tuesday afternoons for an hour of fellowship, worship, prayer, and a message from a range of excellent speakers. Oasis meeets on Tuesdays (term times only) from 2:15pm to 3:30 pm

Held

Held is a womens Bible Study and fellowship group that meets each Thursday morning. Held meets every Thursday morning from 9:45am to 12 noon

Heartsease 

Heartsease exists for those who are alone, usually through bereavement. Although based at SBC, anyone in the Seaford area may join. We have contact with over seventy people, and between forty and fifty attend each meeting. Heartsease meets on the first Friday of the month from 2:30pm to 4pm

Who Let the Dads Out? (WLDO)

This is a toddler group with a twist - it's just for men and their children! WLDO? runs on the second Saturday of the month and has newspapers and bacon butties just for the Dads. Because we recognize that not only preschoolers come out on Saturday mornings there is also a DVD playing and our computers are out too. WLDO runs from 9.30am to 11am as a drop in so you can come and go as you wish. Come along and give Mum a break. WLDO is held on the second Saturday of the month from 9:30am to 11:30am

Who Let the Kids Out? (WLKO)

A family tea party held on the second Sunday of each month for primary school children and their families. Includes Craft, Games, Music and a buffet tea, with an interactive bible story. A welcoming and friendly atmosphere will be experienced by all who attend. WLKO is held on every second Sunday of the month from 4pm to 6pm

Scallywags Toddler Group

Scallywags is a toddler group that meets every Friday in term time from 9.30am to 11am. There are lots of activities for your preschooler with singing at the end of the morning. Freshly brewed coffee, tea and biscuits too! Scallywags meets on Fridays (term times only) from 9:30am to 11am

Earlybird Plays Playschool

Early Birds Pre-School is owned by Seaford Baptist Church and run by a committee elected by the church. It is also a member of the Pre-School Alliance and is registered and inspected by Ofsted from whom we received an 'outstanding' in December 2015.

WAVES Family Charity

WAVES is a separately constituted Charity, with its own board of Directors, that grew from the Social Outreach Ministry of Seaford Baptist Church. It has its own town centre premises in Seaford and provides valuable outreach amongst the local community, through a core team of staff and up to 30 volunteers. In addition to the freely available drop-in services run from its centre, it has a successful schools listening service providing support to as many as 70 pupils a week, family support workers, and a range of training courses for families. SPLASH

On the third Saturday morning of every month at 9.30, our art group Splash meets under the care of established artist Ray Finch and Bill Bovington.  Anyone is welcome to come along and join in and you can take part in a variety of guided art activities or just do your own thing.  This is a relaxing morning with no pressure to produce accomplished work - the emphasis is on enjoyment.
