He completed a MA at Lancaster University in 1982 before teaching in Brent in West London where he became Head of Religious Education at the William Gladstone High School. Called to the ministry he spent a year at the London Bible College gaining a Diploma in Pastoral Studies in 1985.
From there he went to Haven Green Baptist Church as Assistant Minister where he met and married Carol his wife of 22 years. They have two children Abigail (currently studying at Kings College University, London and Nathan who completed his ‘A’ levels this summer (2009) and begins a gap year at the Nexus Christian Music College in Coventry (UK) where he will study Vocals and Guitar as well as participating in the discipleship programme of the College. Clive has served the wider denomination in a variety of ways since becoming a Baptist Minister holding posts in each Association in which he has served. He was the founder of Leading Edge the annual Family Bible week of the Baptist Union of Great Britain and served as a Director until recently. He is a member of the BUGB Council, serving on the Ministry Executive Committee, and is a BUGB representative on the Council of the European Baptist Fellowship.

Clive’s passion beyond those things that matter most in life is sport and in particular Brentford Football Club of which he has been a lifelong supporter. Clive is committed to the preaching of God’s word, the care of his people, the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, the releasing of men and women into Christian Ministry, and to praying and working for revival in the UK.

Vicky came back to the faith in the year 2000, having attended a parenting course at her local church. After being moved by the state of a homeless man sleeping on church steps yet not being looked after by that church, she began training as a minister at Spurgeon's college in 2008, to be ordained in 2011. Vicky has a big heart for everyone! She is driven by the example of the love of Jesus and wants to see those in church get even closer to Christ, and to each other, whilst being equipped to bless the society around them. Due to her late conversion, she remembers life without Jesus and the lack of hope that it offered, (although she still wants a Harley Davidson and likes the odd pub visit!). As a result, she would like to see everyone given the chance to have Christ in their life too.

Luke Dowding - Assistant Minister in Training:
Youth and Children's Ministry

Seaford Baptist Church was the start of a great relationship with God (aged 8), and now Luke is back working with Youth and Children.
He has spent time abroad, working in the States and in Albania, learning much about what it truly means to reach out to the deprived. These times have stood him in good stead and now he looks to use what he has learnt, both abroad and here in the UK. Passionate and driven, Luke loves working with young people and couldn't imagine doing anything else. When he's not doing that, though, he enjoys a good Indian takeaway, shopping trips and jogging along the seafront!

Dawn grew up in SBC and so to her it is like a second home. She loves the people who come here and feels very blessed by the support that she has been given for her work. Dawn's passion is for students, and for 20's and 30's, so she is starting an ecumenical group that places its focus and vision on outreach and service within Seaford town. Before Dawn worked at the church, she studied illustration in Cornwall and still enjoys getting the paintbrushes out when she can. She also has zeal for travelling and has made numerous mission and aid trips to places such as Serbia, Ukraine, Ghana and Austria. She plans to go to Isra
